If you fast for 3-4 days, during the fast, you should incorporate juices only on the first and second day. Then on the third day you can start to incorporate green smoothies.
After fasting, it’s crucial to recover your natural and normal food intake very gradually, otherwise your body will feel very weak. You can’t eat cooked or heavy foods right away – heavy in the sense that it takes a lot of energy for your body to digest. You should eat light things the 3 days after fasting. For example, after fasting, I first ate a salad and then some cooked quinoa since they’re very easy to digest. However, what I re-discovered was the power of green smoothies. For some reason I was doing the same green smoothies for years. But I learned it’s important to switch and rotate the fruits and greens that you use.
Fasting is not just to detox from environmental and physical toxins, it’s great to use to detox from emotional, mental stress and toxins and to remove energy blockages.
